Gor Melkumyan

Gor Melkumyan is the founder of ARAR choir. he is a conductor, who says that “There is a limit in the relationship with music, from which the vision of a parallel world begins and the musician is no longer a philosopher…”. He was born in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia, in 1993. His primary musical education he received at the musical schools after A. Terteryan, Sayat-Nova in folk instrument department and at a musical school after R. Andreasyan in a department of brass instruments. He played folk brass instruments in Children's Philharmonic in the orchestra of folk instruments named after Yuri Bakhshyan and was a soloist of the orchestra. 2011-2013 he played in “Van project” orchestra, played in “Sasun” ethnographic song-dance ensemble and a number of other orchestras. 2013 graduated from Yerevan State Pedagogical University "Art Education" department. 2010-2013 he was a free listener in YSU philology lectures. Since 2012 he is engaged in folklore in the regions of Kazakhstan; the materials are archived in the Academy of science of Armenia. He was a participant in a cultural researches in Turkey. 2013-2015 he passed mandatory military service. 2014 participated in CSTO military exercises. 2013-2015 founded and conducted choirs of musical schools of Koghb and Berdavan villages of Tavush region.

In 2014 Gor Melkumyan founded and to this day is the President of "ARAR CHOIR" INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION NGO. Since 2015, he has been a member of the board of Armenian Studies Foundation of “ARARE”. 2018 received a bachelor's degree from the conducting department of the Yerevan State Conservatory, and a master's degree from the department of the same name in 2020. 2016-2017 conducted “Gandzer” mixed stuff choir. He is a member of “Armenian choir conductors” association. He performed with concerts in many cities of USA, Europe, Russia and Asia. 1.01.2015 In a newspaper of “Andin”, in the issue 1 published an article on national ideology, “The ransom of our free salvation”. 2020 formed and published the collection of “Romances" of the Persian-Armenian conductor-composer Zhora Minasyan. In 2021 for the first time in Armenia He presented Friedrich Nietzsche’s musical compositions with a concert. In the works of Friedrich Nietzsche volume 5/2 was published"Fr. Nietzsche: Embodied Music" article. 2018-2021 worked as the deputy director of the "Little singers of Armenia" Children's Philharmonic Society. 2021 he conducted a choir formed in Gyulagarak community in a project named “Komitas: The land and the song” ran by the Institute of Contemporary Art. Since 2021, he has been performing the duties of the director of the "Little Singers of Armenia" Children's Philharmonic society.
